Services in Windows

To allow InstantCBS to run automatically every time the server starts, it can be installed as a service (see installation).

When upgrading CBS it is neccasary to stop the service. By default, CBS installs a service called clinic_booking_system.

These tasks may not be available to users with restricted permissions.

Managing Services

  1. Click Start » Settings » Control Panel
  2. In classic view, select Administrative Tools
    In category view, select Preformance and Maintenance » Administrative Tools
  3. Open services

Stopping a Service

  1. Open the services manager (as above)
  2. Find the service from the list
  3. Right-click and select stop

Starting a Service

  1. Open the services manager (as above)
  2. Find the service from the list
  3. Right-click and select start
